I’ve finally made the long-awaited jump onto the bandwagon and decided to start a blog.
Though I’ve never really been one for blogging, not even tumblr-ing, I’ve always admired those beautiful, pristine lifestyle blogs that just make me want to cut my hair into a cute style, run away to a hot country and get a tan while looking fab in tassled crop tops and fraying short shorts… not that mine would be anything like that; the most it’ll inspire anyone to do is go bake something, but hey I’d still count that as an achievement!
The entire concept of blogging is quite scary to me. I have a really busy life at the moment; I study two langauges in a combined honours at UCL in London, which is hectic in itself as the course content for one of the languages alone is already very demanding. I also work as a commis chef at a restaurant in Covent Garden which is long hours and I get to come home smelling like what I’ve spent all day cooking (yay…). In between working and school work I have to try and split my time socialising with friends, travelling to Wales to visit my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years at his university, and travelling home to Southend/Leigh on Sea to see my family.
Living in London for university, I have quite a few interesting sights right on my doorstep, so I thought it would be a waste not documenting what I get up to; when it’s not sat in bed having a Netflix binge! (we all do it but no one wants to read about that) I’m very lucky to be living in the west end so I really should be making the most of it! Plus this is an amazing way of procrastinating, something I have a horrifyingly well-honed talent for
Having never done anything like this before I’m unsure of what to expect and I don’t really know how often I’m supposed to be uploading stuff or even what to say, but it’ll be nice to keep some sort of record of what I’m getting up to even if nobody ends up reading it but me!
