Monthaversary!

It’s my blog’s one month-aversary today!

I’m a huuuuge anniversary person; think Leslie Knope on the biggest sugar buzz and you might be halfway there. I can think of anniversaries and reasons to celebrate the tiniest little day, I love commemorating things!

I honestly didn’t think I’d get to this point as I know that I set out to commit to things ie a diet, exercise, some big lifestyle change, and after a fortnight I just end up slipping out of it until I find I haven’t done it for months. I actually think that blogging has really helped with this; because I have set days to blog, and then any days in between when I have something I really want to post, it’s made me more committed to the routine of other aspects of my life. I’m exercising more, albeit in my tiny uni room, I’m eating a lot better because I’m actually endorsing this lifestyle so I kind of have to live up to it. I’m really surprised at where blogging has taken me and didn’t anticipate this kind of change in my life.vscocam-photo-1 (4)

I don’t find this stressful in the slightest, although I should probably put a bit more effort into the blog in terms of theme and such. I’m just having such a lot of fun building it up that I didn’t realise a whole month has gone by!

Now that I’ve reached this milestone, I think things will start to get very different. I was using the month mark to figure out whether this was something I really wanted to do, and now that I’ve made it to this point I really think that it is something worth investing my time into, and something I’ll get a lot out of in return.

I have so many blog posts planned for the upcoming months, although this list is always changing because I make new plans and want to post about stuff I’m doing, or I just have even better ideas that I want to share with all of you. I know I should probably stick to one certain subject, but I think ‘lifestyle’ kind of encompasses everything so for the time being I can get away with being quite general as I don’t really know what I want to mainly write about yet. I’m really enjoying all aspects of it; recipes, reviews, beauty, hauls, my general musings about days out in London or elsewhere… it’s all just been the greatest experience and has really changed a lot of things in my life in a very positive way. I feel like my outlook on things has become a lot brighter and more positive now for some reason that I can’t quite put my finger on, but I know it’s definitely down to having created this blog, and if my life can change this much in one month then I can’t even imagine what it’ll be like this time next year!

Thank you for supporting me and making this whole experience so worth it!

Hey my blog is new too! 4 days old actually. I’m doing this sort of as a personal exercise in discipline. What made you decide to blog? I’m having trouble sticking to a topic as well. I thought I’d make it mostly about female empowerment, but sometimes personal experiences enter my mind and it just seems like good blog content.

      Hello 🙂
I also think it’s good for discipline. I’m in my first year of uni after a rocky start trying it last year, so I thought it would help me see the positives in life by documenting really happy experiences I’ve had so I can look over it. I love writing and being creative so it all seemed to fit in well together
I try to link all of my posts to personal experience in one way or another but don’t want to bog people down too much with things about my life so try to keep it more like a motivational, guidance kind of thing when talking about my own problems
Good luck and well done with your blog x
