I didn’t do a blog post about last month’s Glossybox but simply couldn’t resist this one- it’s a special Parisian-inspired collector’s edition with artwork by Jamie Lee Reardin; a creative editor at Glossybox who has worked for Chanel, Givenchy and Dior.
It contains 4 gorgeous French cosmetic products and also a really sweet travel pouch with more of Reardin’s artwork. It’s all so chic and stylish and I just cannot get over the art on the box itself, definitely one to keep gorgeous little trinkets in!
I adore France, the effortless chic laissez faire attitude of Paris in particular. Having gone there for Valentine’s Day last year I immediately fell in love with the architecture, fashion, culture, everything, and hope that I’ll return there at some point in the near future. In the meantime, I can use these products and pretend that I’m living the glamorous Breton-striped high life of Paris!
1. Yves Rocher – Comme Une Evidence Eau de Parfum
This adorable little minature perfume smells absolutely incredible. It’s a musky floral scent, very light and fresh- perfect for summer! The perfume combines violet leaves, rose, lily of the valley and patchouli, a smorgasbord of orgasmic floral scents. This is just 7.5ml but the full size perfume from Yves Rocher is £24.50 and simply for the amazing long lasting musky smell I would definitely look into buying it!
2. Teoxane Cosmeceuticals – Perfect Skin Refiner
I’m not really one for using serums or products on my face as I find that it makes my skin really oily but I tested this out earlier (even though you’re meant to use it at night) and it’s actually a really silky finish. The full size product is £70 from Teoxane Beauty which I think is very pricey so I won’t be buying this one but I do like the smell and effect of this product and will be using the sample until it runs out. It’s recommended for use every other night and while using it you should also wear a high SPF during the day to make sure that all the moisturising goodness is locked into your pores.
3. Noxidoxi – Enhancing Serum Base
I’ve used this serum on my hands rather than face as it’s quite liquidy as opposed to the plumping treatment before which is a creamier consistency. I like the non-greasiness of this product and how easily it rubs into my skin, leaving them feeling hydrated and very smooth. The sample is 25ml and the full size is £33.46 from Noxidoxi which is a French website so you’d probably have to pay shipping charges on top of the original price.
4. Lollipops – Lip Balm Délicieuse
This product is my favourite from this month’s box, it is amazing! I am a big lover of lip balms, often sticking with different flavoured Eos balls or Carmex, but this has completely changed the game! It honestly tastes like vanilla cupcakes and has a very glossy shine but without your lips looking too wet. I am in love with this delicious lipbalm and will definitely be purchasing it once both the sample and my current Pomegranate Eos run out – £4.15 full size from Lollipops’ website which is so cute and arty!
5. Glossybox Exclusive Travel Pouch
This month’s box also comes with a beautiful little travel pouch that you can store all of your makeup essentials in for a getaway weekend!
I’m really happy with this month’s box, it’s my favourite out of the three I’ve received so far and really hope that Glossybox continues to inspire me to try out new products and brands!
In the meantime, salut!
