Another month gone, another Glossybox delivered. It’s all going so fast! Last year I didn’t have a full time job so my 3/4 month summer holiday from uni seemed to last forever, whereas this time round I’m suddenly re-enrolling for September… how has the time flown by so fast??
This month is Glossybox’s 4 year anniversary so in honour of that they’ve filled this month’s box with 4 full-size products from around to celebrate the global success of the company. How exciting!
1. MeMeMe – Lipglide in Playful Peach
I was slightly skeptical about this brand after having received a product from them in my first Glossybox that I never used- see here for details – and remains at the bottom of my makeup bag to this day. However this lip crayon is such a pretty shade of coral and a gorgeous matte-velvet texture that it reminds me of the Clinique Chubby Stick. The product is full size in this box and costs £6.95 from the MeMeMe website in a variety of shades. I’m going to a wedding next weekend and am wearing a green dress so I’ll probably pair it with this pretty pink as I think they’ll work really well together.
2. Manna Kadar – Lash Primer
I’ve never been into primers, although I admit my ELF eyelid primer works wonders when I’m applying eyeshadow. This American brand offers a creamy gel that nourishes lashes and can be used under mascara ‘for an enhanced final effect’ which I must admit I’m intrigued to try out as I have quite short eyelashes so I need all the help I can get here! The primer contains the vitamin B12 and also beeswax and carnauba wax so it’s kind to lashes and conditions them. You can get this from Manna Kadar Cosmetics’ website for just £14.55 although as I have the full-size version here this time, it’s only 4g/0.14oz so it’s quite pricey.
3. Emite – Artist Colour Powder Blush
My photo is awful of this product, it’s actually a much pinker blush colour so please excuse that technical difficulty. This product was voted to be in the box back in May by Glossybox users – they were asked whether they wanted a blush or a brush. Although I did vote brush, I’m happy to have a new blush for my collection. Well, ‘blunzer’ as it’s actually hybrid between a blush and a bronzer! This brand is Swedish and you can find the product for £20.59 on their website over at Emite Makeup which I must admit looks really clean and professional; I spent quite a bit of time procrastinating and looking at the cute ‘Vibration Powders’ which are embossed with floral designs.
4. SASS – Purifying Cleanser
I’m really excited about this product as I love SASS! This is a probiotic that you use in the shower to balance the skin’s PH levels and leave your body cleansed all day long. You can find it over on Boots’ website for just £7!!! I think this product is a total bargain and cannot wait to start using it in my showers for that long-lasting feeling of cleanliness.
5. Naobay – Calming Face Toner
Naobay is a luxury Spanish brand that creates natural products that ‘look smart on your bathroom shelf’. And to be honest, it is a really good looking bottle; I adore the clean white base with simple black writing and then the natural wooden lid. The product is meant to be citrus scented but I don’t think it smells of anything which actually suits me better as I don’t like heavily perfumed products. You can use this for; removing makeup residue, hydration, cleansing and calming the skin. It contains camomile and gotu kola extracts and is almost 100% natural so you know it’s going to be amazing for your skin. It can be found for £10.22 over on Amazon as when I tried to search for it using the recommended website from Glossybox, it wasn’t on there.
This month’s box has been amazing because of the full sized products and also because these are definitely products that I’d use/go out and buy so I’m really excited to start using all of them and exploring the brands a bit more.
I cannot wait to see what next month’s brings and in the meantime- have a gorgeous August!
