Travel Wishlist | Blogtober

I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time flicking through Lonely Planets & National Geographic magazines, lusting after different foreign locations. I love following travel bloggers on Instagram and envying their amazing feeds full of gorgeous beaches and picturesque views. One of my favourite pastimes is planning all of the places that I want to travel to, from little villages in my own country to beaches on the other side of the world- I want to see it all!

So far, I’ve compiled a list of a couple of places that I want to travel to in the near future, ie in the next few summers, and I thought that I’d share them with you (not in order of preference) in case you need any travel inspiration or if you can give me any tips on travelling to these places.

MOROCCO

Seeing as I am in Andalucia, it’s very easy to get across to Morocco from Gibraltar. I happen to have family who live near Gibraltar, so I am planning on taking my boyfriend over to see them before I leave my Erasmus year, perhaps more towards the summer. From here you can get a ferry over to the African shore which I find mind boggling, and I would love to go to Morocco for a couple of days to soak up the culture. It’s always fascinated me!

MALTA

Half of my boyfriend’s family are Maltese and he always talks about the summers he spent over there which makes me so envious! While I’m studying in Italy, I want to take advantage of the proximity and travel down to Sicily which is also on my list of travel plans, but also go down to Malta and visit Tom’s family, trek around the beaches and caves, see the beautiful architecture of the churches and towns… it looks gorgeous and I want to be there experiencing it!

CANADA

I actually used to live in Canada with my mother when I was younger, in Vancouver, but have never been back since. The combination of not having relatives to visit, long/expensive flight, weather only being right when I’m at school and therefore can’t really travel… it’s just never been right. But, I’m determined that either this summer or the next I want to go back to Canada and go on a Trek America camping trip! If you don’t know about Trek America, it’s an outdoor excursion company that take you to different natural locations around a variety of US countries- you can check them out here– and I really would love to travel around Canada’s natural parks! TAKE ME BACK!

JAPAN/TOKYO

Okay so this last one is pretty extravagant, but since I found out that the next Olympics are being held in Tokyo, I have been planning a trip there in my head that could incorporate staying in the city for the actual games in case I win any of the tickets to the events! How could would that be? I love Japanese culture, how gentle and loving the people are and of course the amazing food. Travelling around Japan for around a month would be the dream, especially if I could convince my best friend to come out there at some point….!!! (hint hint Bianca)

Of course I have SO many places that I want to travel to, as well as places I’ve been in the past that I’d like to revisit, but these are the main ones that I really want to do in the next couple of years with any luck!

Lots of Love,
Daisy xxx
