L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask | Blogtober

Ever since I posted my review on the Sephora charcoal nose strip, I’ve been on the hunt for another product that is easily accessible in the UK plus does the same job of really cleansing your pores.

I found this L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Mask which contains 3 types of clay plus charcoal to really cleanse your pores and reduce sebum- which is probably one of the grossest words I have ever heard in my life- for just £5 from Boots!

It’s quite intimidating to try and work with this product on a white fabric background, so it took a while to steel up the courage to open the pot, take off that protective little seal and get stuck into it. The product itself is quite thick as a usual face mask would be, so you really don’t need a lot to go a long way with this. It’s so cool and refreshing on your face and starts drying almost immediately, meaning you don’t have to sit around for absolutely ages waiting for the time to come where you can wash it off and see the magic!

I’m actually triphobic, meaning the fear or revulsion of tiny little holes. Please don’t google it, it’s really gross. However this means that I couldn’t really look at myself when the mask was drying because it seeps into your pores and makes you look like your skin is covered in holes, which I guess it is but they’re so much more pronounced with this grey mask on!! As refreshing and cleansing as this mask is, I don’t think I will ever be able to take photos of myself wearing it again because it just freaked me out way too much seeing all the pores. The things I do for my blog…!

According to the packaging, you get 10 applications from this pot and should aim to use it 2-3 times per week alongside your usual skincare routine. I never really stick to these guidelines as I am essentially incredibly lazy, but would definitely try to use this at least once a week as it feels like a really nice treat for your skin especially now that it’s colder and our skin is getting dried out by the harsh weather! It’s well worth the money and is currently on special offer at Boots- click here for details.

Lots of Love,
