Favourite Simple Products | Blogtober

One of my favourite skincare brands is Simple, for a couple of reasons. My skin is quite sensitive and Simple’s products are really gentle on skin so it doesn’t cause me to have any reactions to their products, meaning I don’t have to patch test my way through the whole Superdrug shelving section to make sure I won’t come up all blotchy after using certain stuff. I love the simplistic branding of their packaging which is so aesthetically pleasing and although their website is quite vague on whether they test on animals, I can’t find Simple on any of the lists that expose brands still testing on animals so I’m assuming it’s safe to think they don’t.

I wanted to share with you my 3 favourite skincare products by Simple, which are always such good value for money in shops such as Boots and Superdrug and are really easy to get hold of overseas now as well!

Firstly we have the Eye Make-up Remover lotion, which I use instead of makeup wipes because the formula is a lot gentler and you don’t want to be tugging your eyelids. I take a large cotton pad for each eye and remove the majority of the makeup, then take one more to give my eyes one last cleanse before moving on to my next product. I really love the fact that it even removes waterproof mascara because that is an absolute bugger to try and get off without smearing it all across your face and ending up with the worst stinging eyelids ever!

Next is a product that I’m sure everyone in the beauty blogging world has from one brand or another- micellar water! This again is another great alternative to wipes when it comes to removing your makeup and is so gentle on your skin. I take yet more giant cotton pads, soak them in the micellar water and gently wipe it all across my face in circular motions to remove any excess makeup or dirt from throughout the day. There’s no artificial perfumes or colourings in this product or in any of the Simple products, so although you shouldn’t pour it directly into your open eye, I don’t feel like there’s as much pressure to avoid the eye area in case it irritates your eyes. You can really get a good clean with these products and know that you don’t have any excess makeup lurking about in the night ready to bring you out in pimples!

Last is actually the newest product that I’ve tried from Simple, and that’s the Kind to Skin Protecting Light Moisturiser with added SPF 15. I apply this to my face after using any kind of makeup removers or after doing exfoliating face masks just to really moisturise the skin and make sure it’s feeling all refreshed and soft. It’s not greasy like I’ve found some other facial moisturisers are, and doesn’t sit on top of the skin but really gets absorbed and gives you a nice healthy sheen to your face. Plus it smells so beautiful and fresh!

At the moment Superdrug are doing a really good deal on Simple products where many of them are better than half price, multi buy saver deals and you get a free Patisserie de Bain Gift Set when you buy that 2 products. You can check out all of the deal and Simple skincare range on the Superdrug website here.

Lots of Love,
Daisy xx
