A Reflection on 2016

I can’t believe we’re almost at the end of the year; it’s all just flown by so quickly!

So much has happened this year and I think overall it’s been one of the best years I’ve had for a long time. I realised how much I loved living in London and had an amazing time with my flatmates who soon became friends that I still keep in contact with now that we’ve moved apart again, and I’ll definitely be going back to live in London as soon as my finances permit.

Although my year abroad didn’t go to plan and I had to come home, it made me realise what I want to achieve in terms of my blogging and made me listen to my body/mind more and take time to make myself happy instead of trying to please others so much. I have realised the value of my mental health and how different my life is when I’m doing things that I enjoy instead of pushing myself through stuff that makes me miserable.

I wouldn’t change much from this year as every experience has made me stronger as a person and taught me so much about myself and how I handle situations. There’s still much room for improvement, but I am confident that next year I will be so much more readily equipped to deal with life. I feel so much better now compared to a few months ago, and see little improvements every day in terms of my mood and how I am dealing with life. 2016 was all about testing the waters in different areas; living in London, blogging, university… now 2017 is going to be the year that I focus on the things I truly loved this year and start achieving my goals!!

Lots of Love,
Daisy xxx
