A Day In The Life…

It’s pretty rare for someone to say this, but right now I’m pretty content with my life. I finally have a routine, I am holding down two jobs and earning money while still having time to connect with family and put my heart and soul into my blogging. November is a really busy month as I’m getting ready for Christmas and just had my birthday last week, so staying organised is more important than ever. I thought you might like to read what a typical day in the life of Daisy looks like right now!

Depending on whether I’m working, my morning schedule will vary, but I wake up within the hour of 8am every morning to give me as full of a day as possible. I don’t eat breakfast but have a cup of tea or coffee and scroll through my social media in bed for a little while.

Most importantly I make a list of everything I want to achieve within that day to make sure I am staying on top of my goals and being as productive as possible. Then it’s time to shower and get dressed before getting started on my to do list. I have recently begun taking up walking, as according to Google 10,000 steps per day burns 500 calories, which in a week is 3500; the equivalent of 1lb weight loss! I’m trying to lose a bit of chub and tone up, so I try to average 12,000-20,000 steps per day which is a nice walk in the morning plus a shift at work in the evening.

If I’m not working, I’ll spend a typical November morning baking for Blogmas which takes a few hours, then write the blog post straight after while I’m still in the blogging mood. During this time I’ll make my lunch which is normally the first thing I’ll eat in the day and consists of carbs to carry me through to dinner. At the moment I am loving cheese and pesto toasties which aren’t the healthiest but it’s winter and I need all the comfort food I can get!

I’ll do odd jobs throughout the afternoon and then write a couple more blog posts. I also take any opportunity during the day to take stock photos for Instagram and my blog while the lighting is good as winter is so unpredictable with how long you’ll get good light for high quality pictures, so I like to have a good backlog to work with. I will also socialise with friends but lately they’re all either at university or on holidays plus I’m so busy trying to get my life in order so I haven’t been out that much which doesn’t actually bother me.

In the evening if I’m not working I’ll have dinner at around 6:30, catch up with tv shows and try to relax my mind from the stresses of the day. If I need to wash my hair I’ll do it in the evening to feel refreshed but also so that I can wake up with clean hair that’s dry and ready to style- I hate hairdryers so I let my hair dry naturally and this takes hours, which is pretty inconvenient in the mornings if I’m trying to get out of the house.

It might not sound like the most exciting life, but at the moment it’s really working for me. I love my routine and structure in the day, and the fact that I can put so much effort into my blog right now. I hope everyone is enjoying the content that I’m putting out there and if there’s anything in particular anyone wants to see then please let me know in the comments below!

Lots of Love,
Daisy xxx
