As the first post for Blogtober was “Why I Love Autumn”, I decided to make the first post in my Blogmas series “Why I Love Christmas”.
I always plan Christmas far in advance to make sure I’m well-prepared for the busy festive season, and I feel like it works really well because it means I’m a lot less stressed and can actually enjoy everything that comes.
Christmas is such a magical time of year, and once we pass my birthday at the beginning of November I feel like the countdown really starts. I love seeing all of the Christmas lights and decorations in the town, especially in London, I love all of the smells and colours and the sense of magic in the air… Not to mention the AMAZING tv (including the Wallace & Gromit specials) and of course the constant Michael Buble bangers being played on the radio!
I honestly don’t understand those scrooges (my own dad included) that don’t love Christmas. Yes, it’s expensive if you don’t budget properly, and yes there’s always an overload of advertising thrown in your face from November… but it’s a time for delicious foods, excitement and family. I love reverting to a childlike state over the festive period; eating my advent calendar chocolate every morning, getting excited over the Coca Cola advert finally coming on television, running downstairs on Christmas morning to open presents and have breakfast with my family. I’ve definitely enjoyed Christmas a lot more in recent years as I’ve been with my boyfriend- his family get so into it! Plus now I have 3 separate Christmases which I’m not complaining about at all!!
I am really excited for Vlogmas, Blogmas, and the entire Christmas season now that it’s December 1st. I hope that everyone enjoys the content I’ve worked so hard to put out there, and that you enjoy this Christmas period!!
Lots of Love,
