Christmas Day Makeup Look | Blogmas

I feel like Christmas Day is a definite free pass when it comes to wearing no makeup, although I often find that I look so tired and washed out in photos. So, I wanted to create a makeup look that was quick, simple and looked somewhat natural. In the end I just needed 10 minutes and good lighting to make this look work and will be giving it a good go on Christmas morning!

As I base I use Rimmel London matte BB cream in the ‘Light’ tone, the Rimmel London concealer in ‘Soft Beige’, blend that in with my beauty blender and then use the Être Belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Gel Roll On to really give my eyes that fresh glowy look.

I use a combination of eyeshadows from my NYX Golden Horizons palette although unfortunately they’re not named. I take the fawn shade featured in the middle of the top row and use that for my base, then build on with the more brown shade next to it in my crease, going over with the rose gold brown on the bottom row. For my inner corners I’ll use the lightest golden brown on the far top left and really blend them all in to create a seamless and natural transition before going over my lashes with my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara on my top and bottom rows.

I use the Benefit Gimme Brow on my eyebrows as my fringe covers them but for those without bangs I would recommend the NYX Sculpt & Highlight duo brow contour pencil. Then I use my recent favourite NYX matte liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Budapest’ which is the most gorgeous berry red to complete the look and give me some festive glam!
