As I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, I’m determined to make this year the one where my blogging career really takes off. It’s not enough to just plod along as I am doing right now; I need a game plan!
To help give me some more motivation and inspiration, I ordered a couple of books off of Amazon. These are books that I’ve seen on countless Instagram posts and YouTube videos and I mean if all of these bloggers like them then they can’t be that bad!
The Badass Blog Planner: Sarah Morgan – £12.97
To keep on track with all of my various forms of social media, I bought “The Badass Blog Planner” which basically helps you “build a year of killer content”. It’s a lot thinner than I thought it would be but comes with so many interesting pages like analysing how you use each social media platform and how you can optimise engagement and get the most out of your social medias. This is really going to help as I often find myself putting so much effort into one platform and neglecting the others as a result.
Capture Your Style: Aimee Song – £11.99
This is the book that I was most excited to receive as it’s basically a guide on how to make your Instagram feed all pretty, plus it’s full of sooooo many gorgeous pictures! Honestly it’s a bible for Instagrammers and I love it so much; I genuinely think it’s my favourite book I own! I had never heard of Aimee Song or her website but I am now addicted- this woman is my goals! My dream is to be a lifestyle/travel blogger and Aimee Song has achieved it through her own integrity and not giving up, making it from a humble background to being one of the biggest social influencers out there. If that’s not inspirational then I really don’t know what is!
How To Be Parisian, Wherever You Are: Anne Berest – £11.89
To be completely honest, “How To Be Parisian, Wherever You Are” wasn’t all that I was expecting. I had got the impression this was a book on fashion tips and the French way of life and all that, but from a quick flick through and seeing pages like “How to Destablize a Man”, I’m not entirely sure that’s what this is about. I haven’t had a chance to read this book properly yet but I adore the pictures and the cover; hopefully it’ll be insightful and not just all about how we should put men down!
365 Blog Topic Ideas For The Lifestyle Blogger Who Has Nothing To Write About: Dana Fox – £10.80
I often worry that my posts are getting a bit samey and predictable- a beauty review here, a recipe there, it’s just bland sometimes. This book gives you 365 lifestyle blogger post ideas with plenty of room to write notes on the ones that catch your eye. I have read through this book a couple of times since receiving it and it now looks like a spider’s web, full of little scribblings and potential dates of when I could fit these into my blog or even my YouTube channel. There’s nothing like inspiration, and this book is 100% full of it!
I am determined to make the most of this year and with a little help from these books I’m sure I’ll do just that! All of the books are priced from Amazon UK and came with free delivery; I received them all within 4 days of ordering with Amazon Prime which I thought was brilliant- so brilliant in fact that it prompted me to write this post early!
What’s on your blogger reading list, and where do you get your inspiration?
