Going Self-Hosted | Moving to Bloglovin’

I’ve been toying with the idea of converting my blog to an independent hosted site for a while now and I think I’m finally at the point in my blogging career where I can do that. I’ve got a more professional theme lined up and think that I’ll have more business opportunities coming through this way. I can retain all current followers via WordPress, and you’ll see me on your Reader page as usual, although you’ll have to follow me on Bloglovin’ to really make sure you stay updated with all of my posts.

I’ve had the most incredible time thanks to WordPress and it’s genuinely hard to leave this site because it’s been the home of my blog for the last two years. So to say thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this time, I’m going to be doing a 2 year giveaway for you guys. I’ll speak more about this in a post on Monday, but for now I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has followed my posts so far on here and helped my blog grow to where it is today.

You can follow me over on Bloglovin’ to make sure you don’t miss any of my posts-https://www.bloglovin.com/people/daisyashcroftblogs-22416031

I’m also still on all of my other social media sites:
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/daisyashcroft/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/daisy_ashcroft
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLVOztyCPHf2FZHSRyJw83Q

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

How did you find going self-hosted and was it easy? I’m looking to do this towards the end of the year and would appreciate some tips or any helpful information you may have 🙂

To be honest the whole process was quite hard because I’m not the most technologically gifted so my boyfriend had to help export my current posts, then do all of the processes with setting up an account with 1&1 who host the new site for me. I am so much prouder of my new website and will do a little blog post to help anyone thinking of going self-hosted in the near future as it’s quite long winded!!xx
