Happy Australia Day folks! Although I’m not Australian myself I’ve found myself celebrating this day for the last 2 years due to working for an Australian coffee company and having friends who have lived in the land down under.
This year I headed up to London to visit my old flatmates who have moved to Stratford. Both being Scottish, they combined today with yesterday’s Burns Night celebrations and cooked us a haggis, neeps and tatties dinner with the Aussie top 100 playing in the background. I honestly had the most amazing time; I hadn’t seen any of these people since August and it made me miss living in London so much.
I often think how easy it would be to just move back and spend every waking hour working to pay my rent but knowing I lived in one of the greatest cities on earth. I do love London, it will always be my home and I will 100% move back there when the time is right. I just have to focus on my travel blogging first and start to generate an income from it; or at least find a paid internship related to my blogging.
For the time being, I’ll continue visiting my old friends and making more amazing memories that will convince me more and more that London is where my heart belongs.
Happy Australia Day chucks!
