A Few January Favourites

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been in love with many products this month. I always feel like January is quite bleugh in terms of trying out new things- it’s a trial and error sort of month; testing out all of the products you received for Christmas as well as brands that have come out with New Year ranges. Still, I’ve been going back to 4 items all month that I wanted to share with you as they’ve definitely become staples during my January so far.

First of all my gorgeous Anthropologie calendar that I received for my birthday. I had to wait 2 months to use it but oh em geee it was worth it! Each month is just so pretty and floral and me; I’m so grateful to have received this as a present because I’m ridiculously frugal and wouldn’t have indulged myself, instead I would’ve seen it on Instagram and wished I had bought it all year like I do most years!

As you’ll have seen in my What I Got For Christmas post, I received the Urban Decay Naked 2 & 3 Palettes, much to my delight! I’ve been lusting after these palettes for such a long time and was really surprised to receive not just one but both! I use the Naked 3 Palette pictured above for daytime looks as it’s full of gorgeous dusky pinks and golden hues, then move on to Naked 2 for that killer smoky eye when I’m going out or feel a bit more daring. I love how pigmented these eyeshadows are; it’s definitely love.

Finally, I recently purchased a Fjallraven Mini Kanken backpack to take on my travels as I try to brand myself as a travel and lifestyle blogger. I wanted some kind of symbol that I could use to identify myself with, and came up with the idea of The Peach Backpack. Fjallraven aren’t the cheapest brand but I’ve seen so many people raving (sorry) about how sturdy and long lasting these bags are so I decided to give it a go. This bag was £58 plus shipping from the Fjallraven website and came within 4 working days which I was very impressed with. Be prepared to see a lot more of this little bag as I start going on my trips!

As I said, I haven’t been overly in love with many products this month. I’m still finding my way and exploring some brands that I am so far ambivalent about, such as Aussie shampoo, but will keep you updated if I suddenly have a change of heart and fall head over heels for something!
