Peggy Porschen Cakes | Belgravia

I feel like the Peggy Porschen cake shop is on every blogger’s bucket list of places in London to visit and photograph the heck out of. Honestly, it was on mine for such a long time, especially after receiving a box of their cute heart shaped cookies for Valentine’s Day! As Tom went back to uni to take his end of year exams yesterday, I ventured up to London with him and conveniently Peggy Porschen happens to be behind Victoria Coach Station- the very one that he needed to go to! I suggested we nip in for a little treat before he had to leave, which was also handy as I had someone to snap pics of me in various candid coffee-sipping poses *wink wink*.

Let’s first get the obvious out of the way- this place is absolutely gorgeous. As a real girly girl, any building that’s pink and covered in flowers is a huge yes from me. What makes Peggy Porschen more impressive is the fact that it’s set on a corner, which really adds to the beautiful aesthetics of the place because there’s just so much for your eyes to take in. From gorgeous window boxes to the signature door wreath, Peggy Porschen definitely knows how to put on a floral display that won’t disappoint!

As I’m a modern woman and all that, I wanted to treat Tom to a coffee & cake before he left for uni. I bought us a hot chocolate which came with an interesting chevron chocolate dusting in the milk, latte for Tom, plus two pretty little cakes and a pink rose lemonade (I just had to). What shocked me was the fact that all of this came to over £20… for coffee and cake?! Yes, Belgravia/Chelsea is a notoriously pricey area but I really wasn’t expecting this. I could’ve had a two course dinner at the restaurant I work in for that money! Still, you’re paying for the atmosphere, the bloggable food, the endless photographable moments… in all honesty I shuddered a little but decided to swallow the pain as I knew I would get so many pretty pics from it, plus I love cake so why not indulge? A little hint for anyone going: get a slice of the lemon and raspberry cake, it’s soooo delicious, not to mention aesthetically pleasing like everything else here!

I’m so glad I finally got to go as I’ve been lusting after this pink building on Instagram for months, I’m just a little deflated at the price. I would definitely take a girlfriend or my sister on a cute date here, however I would probably suggest paying for ourselves this time- cue a sigh of relief from my purse strings!
