I’m always saving cool bars and restaurants on my phone after seeing them on Instagram- honestly the list is massive! As I try to make it into London once a week, I’m always crossing places off of my list and trying out new things, which make for some very interesting blog post ideas! I want to get back into doing little reviews, so what better way to kick things off than with a funky cocktail bar right in the heart of the city?
Last week I finally made it to Sushi Samba, a cool restaurant opposite Liverpool Street station which is famed for its insane views of the city and interesting combination of Brazilian-Peruvian-Japanese cuisine. I’ve always wanted to visit for food, as I am a huge fan of both Japanese and Brazilian, but after seeing the amazing cocktails on offer through an Instagram account I follow, I was swayed into going for drinks instead.
The Lychee Cooler is perhaps the nicest cocktail, or drink in general, that I have ever tasted. It’s so creamy, refreshing, and pretty damn dangerous as you can barely taste the alcohol in it! Bearing in mind each cocktail at Sushi Samba is £13, I didn’t get wildly drunk here, but sitting outside under a huge faux maple tree, next to an open fire and the stunning view of the city below was such a perfect way to see out my week!
I would love to come back and sample some of the food; this is a definite birthday dinner location so the sweet-talking Tom into taking me for my 23rd will have to start now! I’m also really excited to visit the New York branch when I go at the end of the month, the interiors look just as stunning as the London one!
Until then, I’m dreaming of Lychee Coolers while slogging away at work in this heat…
